Although I think we can all agree that we wish it was that easy, it takes a lot of effort and work to get us to the desired emotion we're after. I heard self help guru Scott Stabile say on another podcast, "you must choose the the action that leads to the emotion."
When I heard that, a lightbulb went off. I have always been someone who struggled with waking up with a natural pep in my step. Without my routines or certain actions taking place, happiness, my physical state, calmness, or even my energy levels are nearly impossible to approach without the required actions.
